After seeing the girls gorgeous acetate cards I decided not to miss
out! This is the first time I have worked with these cards, brought a
pack ages ago but never got around to it. Saw Lianne use this cute
little Hero Arts Doorway stamp in the weekend and was inspired to have
a go.
This pic isn't a good example, couldn't find a charged
camera!....lol, anyway scanned version will have to do. The house is
sitting on the acetate and so are the words. The sky and grass paper
which is also embossed through the cuttlebug are sitting on the white
card underneath. I used a stunning new product called Radiant Rain
Shimmering Mist to colour ordinary white cardstock for the backround of
the house and the windows. I stamped the doorway and drew and made up
the rest of the house, drew and cut out all the windows and roof.
Coloured the roof with a red Tombo pen.
Sometimes those old papers in your stash can come in handy, dug them
out for the grass and sky. For adhesive I used Xyron sticker maker to
attach the house and wording to the acetate. My only challenge was
sticking the acetate to the inside card. So what did I do you ask?? 1am
in the morning I ran downstairs to the sewing machine and stitched it
together down the center of the spine, was really pleased with the
results and would definitely be what I would do again in the future.
Enjoy!
