Welcome back to all of you who went to SENZ this weekend. We did miss you all in the forum! Was lovely to hear some tales from the weekend in the Chat room on Sunday evening. Thanks to the ladies who popped in to chat. Those of us who stayed at home had a great weekend, full of exciting challenges, and fresh ideas. Thank you Monique for all of your wonderful work.Senz don't know how unlucky they were not to have you!
I had a bit of a play with my Pearl-Ex in the weekend and want to share this neat background idea with you all. It's very simple, a little messy, and super effective. Could be used for ATC backgrounds, cards , or would even be neat used to cut letters for your scrapbook page titles.
All you need is glue, a paint brush, card and a Pearl-Ex color or two. I have used several colors in the example below.
First up, squeeze glue onto your card, use plenty! Spread the glue over your card, no need to be too fussy here, so long as your card is covered.
Next, drop small amounts of your pearl-ex onto the card at random.
Using an old paintbrush stipple until your pearl-ex is covering the glue and card.
Last of all, apply heat to the pearl-ex. The heat causes the mixture to bubble up. Heat until your card stops bubbling. Leave to cool.
Easy isn't it!! Have fun with that!
Sending smiles,from Sonya.
